UNCONTESTED DIVORCE

An uncontested divorce is one in which the parties agree on all aspects of the divorce.  This includes alimony, division of real property, personal property, all other assets, retirement, and debts.  Additionally, if children are involved, then the divorce can be a bit more complicated, but can still be manageable if done with the right attitude.  A parenting plan will need to be drafted and child support provided to the parent with primary physical custody of the children.  If you, or your spouse, are members of the Armed Forces, there are additional issues that need to be considered, and an article covering these matters can be found here.  If the parties can agree on all of these issues the quicker and less expensive the divorce will be as I believe that there are no winners in a contested divorce.

I can offer assistance in completing the paperwork for an uncontested divorce and the filing.  I perform all uncontested divorces for a flat fee.  That means you pay one fee, plus Hawaii General Excise Tax (GET), and the court filing fee, that is all.  There are no extra costs for your divorce.  I offer a discount for members of our Armed Forces and veterans with a copy of their DD 214.  I offer an additional discount for current members of our Armed Forces who are junior enlisted and serve in the grades of E-1 to E-4, or their spouse.
